New Technologies in Eye Care at Portland Eye Center

The Optomap Retinal Exam and the EPIC-2100 Vision Diagnostic System examines the retina (the back of the eye), detecting conditions that affect not just your eyes, but also your overall health. The Optomap Retinal Exam is a scanning laser ophthalmoscope that captures an image of virtually the entire retina, capturing an instantaneous, ultra-wide digital scan of the retina, revealing important information for the comprehensive evaluation of systemic and ocular health. The EPIC-2100 Vision Diagnostic System is an electronic refraction system that reduces waiting time, improves patient flow, and provides more accurate refractions.
