Thomas J. Chowattukunnel, M.D.

Dr. Chowattukunnel is a board-certified ophthalmologist who treats eye diseases and provides medical eye examinations and surgery. He specializes in a wide range of medical and surgical eye care services including: cataract, refractive surgery, and eye diseases.

Dr. Chowattukunnel graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Indiana University and earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He served his internship at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana and completed his residency in ophthalmology at Indiana University Medical Center.

Dr. Chowattukunnel performs advanced laser refractive surgery for nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism including LASIK (Laser Assisted In-Situ Keratomileusis) and PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy), the state-of-the-art laser vision correction procedures.
He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, American Medical Association, Indiana Academy of Ophthalmology and Indiana State Medical Association.
